Texas A&M’s No. 1-ranked 2027 recruiting class appears nearly complete after the Aggies secured four-star linebacker Mikahi Allen on Saturday afternoon. While five-star running back Landon Williams-Callis has not yet announced his commitment, the Texas Longhorns currently hold the edge for the marquee back, and Texas A&M is likely to turn its attention toward flipping four-star running back and Texas Tech commit SaRod Baker. Although the 2028 cycle hasn’t taken center stage yet, third-year head coach Jimbo Fisher and his staff are already making meaningful progress with several priority talents, including NFL legacy and four-star wide receiver Jayden Addai, the son of former Indianapolis Colts running back Joseph Addai.
On defense, rising four-star edge George Parkinson IV recently included Texas A&M in his initial top-six list. Elko and his staff will contend with Oregon, Penn State, Ohio State, LSU, and Tennessee for the Pennsylvania native who stands 6-foot-4 and about 235 pounds. That frame offers any program a developmental advantage as he transitions to becoming a future starting pass rusher. While Parkinson has predominantly lined up at tight end, his future lies on the defensive side of the ball.
Texas A&M’s lone 2028 commit to date is four-star edge Chance Archangel, who chose the Aggies over LSU and several other blue-blood programs in early June. It’s still early, but being among the six finalists for George Parkinson IV is a positive indicator as the 2026 season approaches, a year when a long list of 2028 prospects are expected to make in-season visits to campuses nationwide.
