Four-star wide receiver Khalil Taylor appeared set to head to Penn State for the 2027 college football season, but plans shifted this summer. According to USA TODAY Sports and several other outlets, Taylor has chosen to pursue his collegiate career at Nebraska instead. His final official visit occurred on June 19, a development that seemed to seal his decision.
Taylor initially committed to the Nittany Lions in the spring of 2025, but he de-committed last fall, a move that came just days before Penn State fired head coach James Franklin. While the Penn State program stayed in the mix and continued to pursue Taylor, the standout pass catcher ultimately narrowed his choices to Nebraska, Alabama, and Colorado, with Nebraska emerging as his destination.
During his junior season at Pine-Richland, Taylor demonstrated a prolific scoring ability, with nearly half of his receptions going for touchdowns. He finished the year with 33 receptions for 571 yards and 16 touchdowns across 12 games.
