The NBA Summer League has kicked off in Las Vegas, featuring six former Arizona men’s basketball players who are aiming to raise their profiles over the next 10 days. The action also includes five members of the 2025-26 Arizona squad and San Antonio Spurs forward Carter Bryant, who is in his second year in the league.
Brayden Burries, the 10th overall pick in the 2024 draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, already began showcasing his skills in summer league play with the Bucks at the California Classic. Koa Peat, selected 30th by the Phoenix Suns, is set to make his professional debut on Friday as Phoenix faces Portland. Both Burries and Peat have signed four-year rookie contracts with their respective teams.
Jaden Bradley, taken with the 50th pick by the Toronto Raptors, will also debut on Friday when Toronto meets Boston. Bradley is on a one-year, two-way contract. Tobe Awaka is competing on a one-year, two-way deal with the Chicago Bulls, having joined the Bulls as an undrafted free agent. Chicago is scheduled to play Friday against Memphis. Anthony Dell’Orso is part of the Sacramento Kings on a summer league contract, though he did not participate in the Kings’ first Vegas Summer League game on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, Bryant is getting extra reps with the Spurs, the reigning Western Conference champions. In his rookie season, Bryant averaged 4.2 points and 2.5 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game. His first Summer League appearance on Thursday saw him struggle from the field, going 4-for-13 overall, with 1-for-7 from beyond the arc.
