66 DAYS TO 2026 KICKOFF: Michael Capria

By admin — In yahoo — July 1, 2026

Michael “Cap” Capria is a walk-on offensive lineman for Kansas State, majoring in business management. Born January 10, 2004, he redshirted in 2022 to develop as a reserve center and did not see game action that year. In 2023, Capria appeared in the season opener against SEMO as a reserve offensive lineman, logging four offensive snaps. He played in all 13 games in 2024, primarily contributing on field goal and extra point protection, and also serving as a reserve offensive lineman against UT Martin, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, and Cincinnati. Capria totaled 27 offensive snaps during the 2024 season, with a career-best 13 snaps against UT Martin, and earned Academic All-Big 12 honors after the season. He did not participate in any games in 2025.
Capria attended Liberty High School in Kansas City, where he earned first-team all-state honors from the Missouri Football Coaches Association as a junior and senior, along with first-team all-district and all-conference recognition in both seasons. He helped the Blue Jays compile a 17-6 record over his final two years, including a 10-2 mark and a state quarterfinal appearance as a junior. He walked on at K-State despite interest from Central Arkansas, North Dakota State, South Dakota, and Wyoming, according to 247Sports. Former K-State head coach Chris Klieman praised Capria in 2022 fall camp as one of the strongest players on the offensive line, noting his progress at center despite never having played the position before. In fall 2023, former offensive line coach Conor Riley highlighted Capria’s competitiveness and strength, saying he deserved more reps with the second team. Klieman 2024 fall comments indicated Capria was progressing well and providing depth, with coach Riley acknowledging Capria’s strong performance and potential to push for more playing time as the team explored its depth.
Overall, Capria, a redshirt senior listed at 6-2 and 300 pounds from Kansas City, remains a key depth option on the Wildcats’ offensive line, with recognition for his work ethic and continued development as he competes for more opportunities.
