​The Tennessee Titans have trimmed their roster to the league-mandated 53-man limit and will now go through the waiver process to possibly add more talent. On top of that, the front office will be busy constructing the 16-player practice squad.With the practice squad rules the way they are, it is likely to see a solid mix of young players and veterans on this unit, and it is quite possible that Tennessee looks outside of the organization to try and infuse some talent.With so much uncertainty about who will be claimed and who will be available, it is hard to predict exactly what the unit will look like. But there are still some likely candidates for Sunday’s cuts who could be added.Here is a look at some potential practice squad additions.QB Hendon HookerHooker spent training camp with the Titans and is familiar with the system, and looked solid when given an opportunity in the preseason. With Tennessee only carrying two quarterbacks, adding a third makes perfect sense.RB Michael CarterThere was a shot that the veteran running back could find his way onto the roster, but he didn’t. Now, with his history with coach Robert Saleh, it would be no surprise to see him land on the practice squad.RB Kalel MullingsMullings is the first Mike Borgonzi draft pick released in his two seasons as general manager, although his health has been a significant factor in his struggles. Mullings missed most of training camp due to an injury, and if he is healthy, there could be a position for him on the practice squad.WR Bryce OliverOliver was a surprise cut and should be a priority target for the practice squad. A dynamic special-teamer, he has shown little as a receiver, although there are flashes of potential.WR Tyren MontgomeryMontgomery is an unrefined prospect, very raw, and is the type of player the practice squad was made for. A former basketball player, the undrafted rookie started to come on as training camp wound down, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him find his way onto the unit.S Bishop FitzgeraldFitzgerald came to the Titans as an undrafted rookie free agent and definitely opened some eyes. He was one of the best defenders against the Chicago Bears in the preseason finale and could develop some more on the practice squad.DB Derrick CanteenCanteen is familiar with the system and has a history with head coach Robert Saleh, plus he did make some plays after being a late addition to training camp.CB Jalen McMurrayAnother undrafted rookie free agent, McMurray flashed as a gunner on punt coverage and looked to have upside as a slot cornerback. Seeing him circle back to the practice squad would make some sense.CB Mario GoodrichGoodrich was a late addition to training camp, and all he did was come in and make some plays.
