With 13 laps remaining in Saturday’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season-finale race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Brandon Jones made his move. The driver of the No. 20 powered his Toyota past Carson Kvapil’s No. 1 Chevrolet for the top spot.Jones held on to win the race, his second of the 2026 season and ninth career win overall. As significant as the victory was for Jones, it was more monumental for his manufacturer.Jones’ win marked the 700th for Toyota across NASCAR’s top three series. Toyota, which joined the sport in 2007, has totaled 221 wins in the NASCAR Cup Series, 222 in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and 257 in the Craftsman Truck Series.Jones has picked up milestone wins for Toyota in the past, delivering the manufacturer its 500th NASCAR win back in 2020 at Phoenix Raceway.TRD President Speaks on Milestone 700th NASCAR VictoryTyler Gibbs, president of TRD (Toyota Racing Development), has seen the manufacturer come a long way since the early days in NASCAR.To now reach 700 NASCAR wins across the top three major levels is an astounding achievement. Gibbs believes it would not have been possible with everyone, whether they are drivers, car owners, or mechanics, continuing to bring high-level race cars to the track on a weekly basis. “The success we have seen in our over two decades in the sport is all about the people. From the talented drivers to the incredible owners and leaders of our race teams, the hard-working engineers and technical teams at TRD, this milestone is due to their efforts each day. We are proud of this achievement, but the work is not done. Everyone at Toyota and TRD continues to focus on maintaining this level of success for the rest of the year and into the future,” Gibbs said.Toyota notably became the manufacturer for Joe Gibbs Racing beginning in 2008. Since then, the manufacturer has won three NASCAR Cup Series titles. Two came with Kyle Busch (2015, 2019), and one win with Martin Truex Jr. in 2017. Kyle Busch holds the record for most wins behind the wheel of a Toyota with 203 career wins behind the wheel of the manufacturer.Brandon Jones Wins Homestead, Justin Allgaier Wins ChampionshipWhile Brandon Jones was celebrating a race win at Homestead, it was Justin Allgaier who was relishing in winning the 2026 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series title.
