The 2026 NBA had four notable big-hitters, but it seemed like Caleb Wilson was often put to the side as the fourth player. He is well aware of this, as he has been quite vocal ever since getting selected by the Chicago Bulls.

He might be seen as the worst out of the 2026 quartet, but it seems that is motivating him to strive in the future. Wilson is ready to prove everyone wrong by surpassing AJ Dybansta, Darryn Peterson, and Cameron Boozer.
The Bulls are finally rebuilding after years of toiling away in mediocrity. They were part of a long-running joke that they were in the Play-In Tournament void alongside the likes of the Atlanta Hawks and the Miami Heat.
With the Bulls finally committing to a new era with Bryson Graham as the new Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, they are in a new era. Now, they have found their focal point in Wilson.

The fourth overall pick out of North Carolina is certainly not short on confidence. He is ready to take on the world not only with how bold he plays, but with his goal of becoming the best player of all time.
Before he can get there, he has already set goals for himself in the short-term future. This includes beating out all three players selected before him.
“I played all of them. You know what happened when I played them. I get to play them in Summer League, too. Whatever needs to be done to prove I’m on the same level or that I’m better, I’ll do it,” Wilson said in his introductory presser with the Bulls.

A lot of people have counted Wilson out of that big three, but it seems he has taken that personally. With this kind of mentality, it will be hard to beat Wilson because he will be doing his best to prove everyone wrong, while also talking back to those doubters.
