​The latest stretch of outings from Cincinnati Reds starter Brady Singer has aligned closely with the lofty expectations that surrounded him entering the season. In his three most recent starts, he logged 18.0 innings, reached at least seven innings in one outing, and allowed only 3 earned runs, while fanning 17 and walking 6. He has consistently attacked the strike zone without letting pitches get clobbered for home runs, a contrast to his earlier struggles with giving up homers at a high rate. Now, Singer again looks like a dependable option every fifth day.
Singer will take the mound in Pittsburgh on Sunday as the Reds aim to complete the series sweep of the Pirates. Mitch Keller, who feels like he has faced Cincinnati countless times, will start for Pittsburgh to begin the game. First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 PM ET.
