Coventry have secured Frank Onyeka on a permanent deal after his loan spell, with the midfielder stating his aim to help the club remain in the Premier League and achieve the best possible league finish. The 28-year-old joined from Brentford in January, with a clause that the move would become permanent if Coventry secured promotion. He made 14 appearances in the latter part of the season as Coventry clinched the Championship title under Frank Lampard. Onyeka told Coventry’s media team that he is excited for the new season and had two goals when he first joined: win the Championship and help Coventry get promoted to the Premier League. Now a Coventry player in the top flight, he pledged to give his all, battle for every ball and support his teammates, using his experience to help the club stay up and push for a high finish.
