In contrast, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio has argued that Brady should turn the focus inward, question whether his involvement with Fox is hindering his impact on the Raiders, and commit more time to the team—especially with a young franchise quarterback on the roster who could benefit from the three-time MVP’s guidance.
Florio suggests that Brady’s Fox duties keep him from taking a hands-on role with the Raiders and from leveraging the inside information he gains from meetings to help the team on game day. He questioned Brady’s ability to translate that knowledge into practical help for the Raiders, noting that Brady did not perform well in that regard last year. Florio even implied that Brady’s public-facing work, such as optimizing search engine visibility, might further detract from his on-field usefulness to the Raiders.
