LSU baseball to play in Las Vegas during nonconference slate in 2027

LSU baseball will again take part in the Live Like Lou event, this time heading to the West for the 2027 edition. The Tigers were announced Thursday as participants in the Live Like Lou Las Vegas College Baseball Classic, a three-day showcase scheduled for March 5-7 at the Las Vegas Ballpark, home of the Athletics’ triple-A affiliate. The four-team field will also include Arizona State, Iowa, and Oregon State, with dates, matchups, and game times to be confirmed later. Each team will play the others once, with two games per day over the tournament.
After the Classic, LSU will stay in Las Vegas and play UNLV at Earl E. Wilson Stadium on UNLV’s campus on Monday, March 8. This marks the first portion of LSU’s 2027 schedule to be released and suggests at least one projected ranked matchup against Oregon State during the season. Last season, LSU went undefeated in the Live Like Lou Classic in Jacksonville, defeating Indiana, UCF, and Notre Dame.
