The Los Angeles Dodgers are playing at an exceptional level this season as they chase a third straight World Series title, a feat not seen since the 1998–2000 Yankees. While stars like Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman are delivering, outfielder Andy Pages has been a notable standout. The former Cuban prospect, who signed with the Dodgers in 2018, is hitting .271 with a .328 on-base percentage and a .479 slugging percentage, including 16 home runs and an NL-leading 60 RBIs. Pages has emerged as the Dodgers’ everyday outfielder, a development that matters as Teoscar Hernández regresses and Kyle Tucker underperforms after joining the team via free agency.
Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller still pegs Pages as a midseason highlight, ranking him the 18th-best player three months into the year. Miller notes that Pages was a hot start, batting .412 with five homers in the first 19 games, though the peak didn’t endure. Since then, he hasn’t managed to sustain a .300 average, currently batting .215 since late May, yet remains at the forefront of the Dodgers’ offense and arguably the team’s linchpin in center field. If Pages can regain his early-season form and Tucker can rebound, the Dodgers would be formidable contenders in any October showdown.
