Liverpool open to Van Dijk offers – Saturday’s gossip

   ​The future of Virgil van Dijk at Liverpool looks uncertain as the club is open to offers for their captain, with some inside Anfield regretting the decision to renew the 34-year-old’s contract last year. Fulham have entered the race to sign Crysencio Summerville, 24, from West Ham, with Chelsea and Manchester United also showing interest in the Netherlands winger. Chelsea and England centre-back Trevoh Chalobah’s agent has held talks with representatives of Inter Milan about a potential switch to Serie A, with Como also showing interest in the 26-year-old. Barcelona have ruled out pursuing a move for Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane, 32. Manchester City’s 19-year-old English striker Matty Warhurst is drawing attention from several clubs, including Stockport County, Northampton Town and Swindon Town. Talks between Arsenal and Aston Villa over a deal for England forward Morgan Rogers, 26, are expected to drag on as the two clubs remain far apart in valuation. Leeds lead Juventus in the race to sign Japan goalkeeper Zion Suzuki from Parma, 23, in a deal worth around £25 million. Real Madrid’s 26-year-old France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni and Bournemouth’s 22-year-old English midfielder Alex Scott remain high on Manchester United’s shortlist. Everton’s 27-year-old Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Mark Travers has emerged as a target for Coventry City. Saudi Arabia continues to be the most likely destination for Mohamed Salah, the 34-year-old Egypt forward, after his departure from Liverpool. Coventry City are among clubs showing interest in Juventus’ 26-year-old Belgium striker Lois Openda.
