Which 3 Giants games will deliver the most fireworks in 2026?

Editor’s note: This is Part 2 of 26 in Art Stapleton’s New York Giants summer series Q&A. The Giants boast a Super Bowl-winning head coach who could become a Hall of Famer in John Harbaugh, a leader who can steer the franchise toward a championship standard it has long sought but not yet achieved. For now, there are more questions than answers, but the idea is to set the table for the summer and beyond with 26 questions that will shape the 2026 Giants season. The standing ovation for Harbaugh from Giants fans at Beacon Theatre during the team’s May Town Hall was only the start. Harbaugh, as he prepares to usher in another new era in the franchise’s 102nd year, knew how to rally the crowd. With chants of “Cowboys suck” echoing around him, he was asked if he could promise the Giants would stop getting manhandled by their NFC rivals—the Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Washington Commanders. He replied with a rallying cry that could define the summer and carry into the season: “I could [not] care less about what happened last year or the year before that or 10 years before that. All I care about is tomorrow’s practice, because if tomorrow’s practice is the way it’s supposed to be, that will be one more step in the direction of being a good enough football team to kick the Cowboys’ ass.”
26 QUESTIONS: See our growing list of Giants questions for the 2026 season. Question #2: Which three Giants games will provide the most fireworks? Cowboys at Giants, Week 1, Sunday, Sept. 13. Why to watch: This game will set the tone—“Sunday Night Football” featuring Jaxson Dart against Dak Prescott, with Big Blue hoping to pick up where they left off in the 2025 finale when they beat Prescott and the Cowboys for the first time since 2016. Much will be made about Malik Nabers’s availability, and rightly so. Will the Giants perform better than they did three years ago when a primetime disaster ended in a 40-0 loss? Expect improved defenses from both teams and perhaps an undrafted rookie kicker, Dominic Zvada, who could win the summer-long competition and drill the game-winner as time expires. An ironic finish to Harbaugh’s first game as Giants coach, given how his Ravens tenure ended with a rookie’s missed field goal. Titans at Giants, Week 3, Sunday, Sept. 27. Why to watch: Brian Daboll vs. the Giants. Old friends Wan’Dale Robinson, Cor’Dale Flott, and Daniel Bellinger return. Dart vs. Cam Ward. Big Blue will have this game circled as a chance to get a early solid start. Fans of Robert Saleh’s new team have been bantering with Giants supporters on social media all offseason, pointing to this matchup as a potential focal point for early-season momentum.
