This year marks the 250th anniversary of our nation’s independence, bringing a special celebration across the country. Baseball remains America’s pastime, even as football overtakes it in popularity. Most children still begin their sports journey with T-ball before sliding into team sports, so baseball continues to be seen as America’s pastime. As you celebrate today, you might find yourself doing something baseball-related wherever you are. What baseball activity will you enjoy on the Fourth of July? It could be as simple as throwing a ball in the backyard before you head to a barbecue, or simply relaxing and watching the Phillies later tonight in Kansas City. It might be even more meaningful—perhaps you’re attending a baseball or softball tournament with your child. Good luck, and enjoy the day.
