Former Florida pitcher Logan Shore has been chosen for the 2026 UF Athletic Hall of Fame class. Shore starred on the mound for the Florida Gators from 2014 through 2016, helping guide UF to back-to-back College World Series appearances in 2015 and 2016. He remains one of the program’s most productive pitchers in school history, ranking second all-time in wins with 30 and seventh in strikeouts with 248, while holding opponents to a .231 batting average over his Florida career.
Hailing from Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Shore captured SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2014 after going 7-4 with a 2.16 ERA and 68 strikeouts across 95 2/3 innings. His breakout season set the tone for a successful rise within the league, and his 2016 campaign elevated him to even greater recognition. That year, Shore was named the SEC Pitcher of the Year and earned a Golden Spikes Award finalist nod, posting an impressive 12-1 record with a 2.31 ERA and 95 strikeouts in 105 1/3 innings.
Shore’s Hall of Fame induction will take place at a banquet at the F Club on October 9, the eve of Florida football’s homecoming game against South Carolina. He will join a diverse and esteemed list of 2026 honorees, including gymnast Bridget Sloan, softball star Kelsey Stewart, former men’s basketball players Vernon Maxwell and Andrew Moten, and football standout Vernon Hargreaves III. This class reflects the breadth of Florida’s athletic excellence and the lasting impact Shore has had on the program.
