It’s time for another Seahawks Reacts survey as training camp approaches. In just about two weeks, the Seattle Seahawks will begin their preparations, and the buzz will center on this year’s rookie class, the roster battles for the active lineup and the practice squad, and how the competition for limited spots will play out with a wealth of talent on hand. That balance—plenty of talent with finite spots—gives the Seahawks one of those “good problems” to manage.
Our question this week is straightforward: which position group are you most eager to watch during training camp? We’ve listed the offensive and defensive positions, though we’ve grouped corners and safeties together as defensive backs. On offense, quarterback is largely about evaluating Jalen Milroe and his progression in his second season, given that the quarterback depth chart would otherwise feature Sam Darnold and Drew Lock as the top duo. The running backs will draw attention to rookie Jadarian Price and the veteran signing Emanuel Wilson. At wide receiver, the hope is that Tory Horton can participate in practice and that Rashid Shaheed enjoys a full offseason of development. The offensive line will attract interest toward rookie Beau Stephens. Tight end is largely established, but fans will be curious to see if Elijah Arroyo steps up, and Lance Mason could emerge as an intriguing undrafted free agent addition.
On defense, the interior defensive line could host a series of compelling camp battles at nose tackle, with Brandon Pili, Deven Eastern, and other contenders pushing for playing time. The edge rusher group remains relatively constant, yet the rookie Aidan Hubbard could prove to be a hidden gem among undrafted free agents, while Dante Fowler Jr. will need to demonstrate how much he still has left in the tank. Inside linebacker appears largely settled, but fans will be watching Chris Paul Jr. to gauge what a full offseason in the system has done for his development. Cornerback will look a bit different with Riq Woolen no longer in the mix, and a few rookies stepping into the fold alongside Noah Igbinoghene. At safety, Ty Okada, Bud Clark, and Rodney Thomas II will compete for snaps and playing time.
Cast your vote in the survey below and share your expectations for training camp. Be sure to check back at the end of the week for the full results and a deeper read on which position groups generated the most interest among Seahawks fans.
