Brooks Koepka’s blunt response when asked if he wants Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton back on the PGA Tour

Brooks Koepka has indicated that he isn’t interested in joining the debate over LIV Golf players, including Jon Rahm, potentially returning to the PGA Tour. Koepka has been a pioneer in several ways, becoming the first high-profile name to leave LIV, with his departure announced in December. Those who predicted that his exit would start a domino effect have been proven right, as the last few months have been difficult for LIV Golf, with ongoing doubts about the league’s future beyond this year.
It appears that many players are keeping their options open. Bryson DeChambeau’s management team reportedly held discussions with PGA Tour officials during The Masters, while Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton have negotiated terms with the DP World Tour to ensure they can participate in those events.

In a press conference, Koepka was questioned about whether this moment could signal a return to normalcy and whether he would welcome such a shift more broadly. “I’m not part of those conversations, so I don’t know,” he replied. “I don’t have an opinion either way. I’m more focused on myself. I’ve learned through all of this that if I can just focus on myself and be the best golfer, husband, and father I can be, I’m doing more than I want to do right now by staying present with them and playing good golf.” He added, “What happens to everyone else isn’t something I’m overly concerned with.”
Koepka’s return to the PGA Tour this season has been a mixed bag. He has been working his way back up the ranks after missing certain signature events unless he earned his way back in. While there have been encouraging signs, many fans might have expected him to reappear in the sport’s most prominent events by now.
Currently 81st in the FedEx Cup standings, Koepka faces a challenging path to reach the playoffs, and he will also be mindful of solidifying his presence in the signature events in 2027. Still, he stressed that time is not a pressure point for him regarding securing his spot among golf’s elite. “It’s not going to affect anything I do. I’ve said it before: good play takes care of itself. I have an opportunity to go out there and play well this week,” he said. “Next week is a major, which presents a lot of chances to move up the board, and I’m looking forward to that, followed by a strong finish for the year.”
In short, Koepka remains focused on his own game and personal life, avoiding entanglement in the broader LIV-Golf saga while continuing to chase top-level results as he eyes the months ahead.
