Have your say: Should Juventus bring Vlahovic back?

Dusan Vlahovic is reportedly prepared to sit down with Juventus to discuss a new contract now that his previous deal expired last month, but the question remains: should the Bianconeri welcome him back? Officially, the former Juventus forward is currently a free agent after his Turin contract came to an end in June. The Serbia international had been linked with several European giants, including Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Bayern Munich, yet none of these clubs has put forward a formal contract offer for the 26-year-old. This silence has prompted Vlahovic, according to Tuttosport, to reassess his future in Turin.
Under the regime of Damien Comolli, Juventus reportedly failed to meet Vlahovic’s contract demands and signing bonus, while new chief executive and general manager Giovanni Carnevali did not resume talks with the Serbian striker. Carnevali insisted at the end of June that he had never spoken with Vlahovic and that while football can always present unforeseen possibilities tomorrow, today the player is not a priority for the club. He emphasized that Vlahovic is an important asset but not currently on Juventus’ radar.
Tuttosport claims that Vlahovic has stayed in contact with some former Juventus teammates and has even reached out directly to the club in an effort to negotiate a potential new deal. The only formal approach he has received, he reportedly told friends, has come from his former Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano, who is now at Besiktas. Yet no team in Europe’s top five leagues has progressed negotiations with the Serb, who remains the most valuable free agent on the market.
From a broader perspective, Juventus continues to navigate other transfer matters as it rebuilds its squad. The club is reportedly still negotiating with PSG over Kolo Muani, and according to Sportitalia, has made initial contact with Parma regarding Matteo Pellegrino. In addition, the Bianconeri are awaiting potential bids for forwards Lois Openda and Jonathan David, players who are not currently part of Luciano Spalletti’s plans.
Over the last four and a half years, Vlahovic has amassed 68 goals in 168 appearances for Juventus. The critical question facing the club now is whether to reintegrate him into the squad or pursue a fresh start with a new attacking option. The decision will shape Juventus’s attacking strategy for the upcoming seasons and could influence how the club plans its financial and sporting roadmap.
As fans and analysts weigh the options, a poll has been opened to gauge sentiment: should Juventus bring Vlahovic back, or seek a new direction in attack? The discussion also invites input in the comments section for those following the situation closely and considering the potential fit and long-term impact on the team’s dynamics and performance.
