Megan Aller Aller earned ten letters competing in cross country, track and field, and swimming. She was a two-time Westmoreland County Coaches Association individual cross country champion and a four-time PIAA qualifier. In 2015, she broke the Kiski Area school 5K record and was a three-time team cross country MVP. At the 2016 WPIAL Class 3A track and field championships, Aller placed third in the 1,600-meter run and was a four-time track state qualifier. She again broke the school record in the 1,600 as a senior and was a three-time champion in the 1,600 at the WCCA meet. She also contributed to a 3,200-meter relay that placed in the top three at WPIALs for three consecutive years. Aller qualified twice for the WPIAL swim championships and ended her senior year as Kiski’s Female Athlete of the Year. She went on to continue her athletic career at Duquesne University, where she competed in cross country and track.
Don Grimm earned four letters in football and track and field. He played offensive tackle and linebacker, recording 116 tackles as a senior in 1967 and helping the Cavaliers permit the fewest points allowed by their opponents in school history. Grimm also set a school record in discus with a throw of 159 feet, 5 inches, a mark that stood for three decades. He continued his athletic career at Westminster College, lettering four years in football and track. Grimm later contributed to Westminster’s football success, helping the Titans secure the 1970 NAIA Division II football championship.
Chad Kuhn earned eight letters across football and wrestling. As quarterback, he helped lead the Cavaliers to three playoff appearances and finished his varsity career third all-time in passing yards in the program’s history. In wrestling, Kuhn posted a career record of 115-28 and placed fourth at the 2014 WPIAL Class 3A championships. He held the season pin record for four years. After high school, Kuhn played football at Slippery Rock University, where he was a two-time first-team All-Region selection, a two-time first-team All-PSAC West Conference pick, earned second-team All American honors in 2019, and received first-team All-American recognition. He has continued to leave a lasting impact on the program with his leadership and performances.
