Leeds confirm Wilson arrival on free transfer

Leeds United have announced the arrival of Wales international Harry Wilson on a four-year deal. The 29-year-old attacking midfielder becomes a free agent after his Fulham contract expired at the end of June. Wilson, who had joined the Cottagers from Liverpool for £12 million in 2022 following a loan spell, enjoyed his best Premier League goal tally last season with 10 goals in 36 appearances.
“When the season finished and I became a free agent, Leeds stood out as the club that genuinely showed interest in me,” he said. “As a player, you want to join a team that wants you and is prepared to do everything possible to bring you in.” He described his excitement as “really, really excited.” He added that Leeds United is a massive club in the Premier League, and that playing for the side requires a big personality. “You have to be able to cope with the pressure—the demands of the club and the fans—and you have to go out there and perform.”
Wilson, who has earned 69 caps for Wales, becomes Leeds’ first signing of the summer. The club has also been linked with potential moves for Southampton midfielder Shea Charles and Germany midfielder Julian Brandt, who left Borussia Dortmund when his contract expired at the end of the season.
