WILKES-BARRE, PA (WBRE/WYOU) — The King’s College Monarchs have unveiled their full schedule for the 2026 football season. The campaign opens at home with the 30th Annual Mayor’s Cup Game against local rival Wilkes University, set for a primetime showdown at McCarthy Stadium with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. This marks the start of a competitive year as the Monarchs dive into their conference slate.
MAC play begins the following week as King’s welcomes Stevenson University to town for the first league contest of the season. The Monarchs then prepare for a homecoming clash, hosting Widener University on Saturday, September 26. That pivotal homecoming Saturday adds extra excitement to the season, as alumni and fans return to celebrate the Monarchs’ ongoing football tradition.
In between those two home league games, King’s will hit the road for its first road test of the year, traveling to Alvernia University on Saturday, September 19. It will be a challenging matchup as the Monarchs seek to establish early momentum away from McCarthy Stadium.
Conference play continues through the fall and ultimately concludes on Saturday, November 14. That Senior Day will feature a 1:00 p.m. kickoff against Misericordia University, allowing the Monarchs to honor their departing seniors in a memorable home finale.
The action on the field culminates the following weekend with the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series game scheduled for Saturday, November 21. As the season wraps, the Monarchs will look to finish strong and build towards the next chapter of King’s College football.
