Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah: Inter and Como reach pact ahead of move

By admin — In News — July 8, 2026

Inter and Como have been contending to sign Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah in recent weeks, with the two Serie A clubs now reportedly reaching a pact over a possible deal. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s Beppe Marotta and Como’s Mirwan Suwarso held a productive telephone discussion about Chalobah’s situation, outlining a cooperative approach that aims to keep tensions to a minimum during any potential transfer.
The clubs are intent on avoiding friction in this process. Como has already seen one offer rejected, and Inter has since entered the race as well. Suwarso told Marotta that Como does not wish to enter an auction for the English defender. He also stressed that if Inter were to make a formal bid, Como would be prepared to step back and explore other options in the market.
Meanwhile, Inter remains fully focused on pursuing Anan Khalaili and has submitted a renewed offer for him, which has led to Chalobah’s pursuit being put on hold despite the existence of personal terms with the Chelsea player. This approach signals a strong, ongoing relationship between the two Italian clubs, built on mutual respect and a desire to protect their collaboration rather than undermine it.
There is a shared understanding not to overpay for Chalobah, a sentiment that reflects a notable level of maturity in today’s market. Such restraint benefits both clubs and preserves their good rapport, even as Chelsea hopes to maximize a sale, especially with their interest in Maxence Lacroix.
