The Arizona Cardinals will report to training camp on July 22 and commence the routine work of preparing for the upcoming regular season, as the club rosters its players and sorts out starting jobs and roles across the team. In the lead-up to camp, we will examine every player on the offseason roster, delving into their backgrounds, contracts, performances from 2025, the questions they face, and their outlook within the roster.
Here’s a look at receiver Tejhaun Palmer. Palmer was selected by Arizona in the sixth round of the 2024 draft out of UAB. He spent the entire 2025 season on the Cardinals’ practice squad, remaining with the organization throughout most of the year before being signed to the active roster at the end of the season and appearing in one game. He logged four offensive snaps and two on special teams. If Palmer makes the team in 2026, his salary will be $885,000—the minimum for a player without an accrued season—and that figure will also count as his cap hit.
Palmer is competing for one of the back-end receiver spots. With three, possibly four, spots already considered locks, he will need to demonstrate his value on special teams and deliver productive plays in the passing game. It’s important to note that the coaching staff is different from the one that initially brought him to the club, so Palmer will have to stand out to secure a place on the roster.
