It’s time for the SEC Network takeover season, and LSU gets its moment in the spotlight starting late tonight. Each July, SEC Network dedicates a block of time to re-air a variety of games and events from every program, highlighting the best moments from the previous athletic year, and LSU’s takeover is next in line. The broadcast lineup opens at 6:00 p.m. with a re-air of the women’s basketball matchup against Texas Tech, followed by an 8:00 p.m. re-air of Will Wade’s introductory press conference. LSU’s takeover then continues at 11:00 p.m. with a rerun of LSU softball’s dominant 25-0 win over Auburn.
The evening progresses with the network re-airing the football win against Arkansas, and there’s a symbolic nod to the season’s rough patches as one football game is rebroadcast in the early hours, around 1:00 a.m., a figurative burial that mirrors how the year unfolded for the team. At 3:30 a.m., LSU’s women’s soccer victory at Auburn receives another airing, followed by a 5:30 a.m. encore of LSU volleyball’s shocking upset over Florida. At 7:30 a.m., the network features LSU softball’s second of three key games, replaying the March 28 upset victory over Oklahoma.
Moving into late morning, at 9:30 a.m. one of LSU’s notable men’s basketball moments is showcased with a replay of the win over Ole Miss. Then, at 11:30 a.m., SEC Network re-airs the LSU women’s basketball team’s upset victory against Texas. LSU’s sole baseball highlight appears at 1:30 p.m., featuring a replay of the SEC Tournament win over national champions Oklahoma. The afternoon continues with a rebroadcast of LSU gymnastics’ triumph over Alabama at 4:30 p.m.
As the schedule progresses, the network presents women’s basketball, in a season-defining moment, with a 6:00 p.m. airing of the tournament second-round victory over Texas Tech, the game in which LSU set the school record for single-season 100-point performances. At 8:00 p.m., viewers can watch Will Wade’s re-introductory press conference, followed by Lane Kiffin’s introductory remarks at 8:30 p.m. The LSU takeover concludes at 9:00 p.m. with a re-air of LSU softball’s Baton Rouge Regional clincher against Virginia Tech, wrapping up a full slate of LSU highlights that span multiple sports and showcase the program’s peak moments from the past season. This marks a complete, engaging window into LSU’s athletic achievements as curated by SEC Network, designed to entertain fans and spur renewed appreciation for the Tigers across the university’s diverse sports landscape.
