FC Barcelona submits bid to Borussia Dortmund for Karim Adeyemi

By admin — In News — July 9, 2026

Journalist and Jijantes FC insider Gerardo Romero, a well-known Twitch analyst, reports that FC Barcelona is pursuing Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi. According to Romero, Barcelona is actively working to bring in Adeyemi, and Hansi Flick has already given the green light for the potential arrival of the winger. Adeyemi, whose contract with Dortmund runs through next season, could become Barcelona’s second major signing of the summer.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has also weighed in, noting that Hansi Flick’s club has submitted an offer to Dortmund for Adeyemi. He shared that negotiations are ongoing with Dortmund as Romero indicated, and that Adeyemi reportedly sees Barcelona as the only club he would join this summer. Barca has made its bid and is eager to secure Adeyemi, with a decision pending from Dortmund.
Matteo Moretto of Marca has reported that Barcelona and Adeyemi have already reached personal terms. The report states that Barca and the German forward have a verbal agreement, while the clubs continue to negotiate the transfer fee with Borussia Dortmund. This development aligns with Romero’s information about ongoing discussions and Flick’s strong admiration for Adeyemi, who has a contract that runs until 2027. The 2022 World Cup preparation under Flick’s selections shows that Adeyemi has shown promise, despite a fluctuating 2023-24 season and not being chosen for Germany’s World Cup squad in 2022. Flick, however, did include Adeyemi in the World Cup squad in 2022 when he was a part of the team.
The overarching question remains: Is Flick the right manager to help Adeyemi achieve greater consistency in his game? Barcelona’s pursuit underscores the belief that Adeyemi could be the talent to lift the Blaugrana’s attacking options. As the saga unfolds, fans and analysts will watch whether Dortmund accepts Barcelona’s bid and whether Adeyemi can align with Barcelona’s style and expectations this summer.
