Emersonn joined Toulouse only last summer from Turkish side Goztepe in a deal that totaled just over €3 million. A year later, he departs for ten times that amount, with the transfer price set at €32 million. In his solitary season with Toulouse, Emersonn featured 31 times, bagging seven goals and providing three assists.
