College Fantasy Football Rankings: Top-300 players for 2026 drafts

By Eric Froton — In News — July 9, 2026

Welcome to Yahoo College Fantasy Football! With these top-300 rankings, I’m focusing on a 1QB scoring system, since that is the default setting on Yahoo. The 68-team format offers a far larger pool of players to choose from than NFL fantasy, so even in a 12-team league where each manager keeps three quarterbacks (Yahoo’s default is 18 roster spots), there are still about 32 other streamable options rotating through the waiver wire to plug in when injuries or byes arise. It’s worth noting that only 12 quarterbacks start each week, so you only get one opportunity to produce a big score from your starting signal-caller. While drafting an elite quarterback like Arch Manning or Trinidad Chambliss can pay off, there will be plenty of solid options later in the draft as you stockpile running backs and wide receivers.
Play Yahoo College Fantasy Football: Create or join a league for this season! The Hero RB ethos remains strong in Power Five CFF leagues and should dominate early rounds, with most of Round 1 and Round 2 selections concentrated on running backs. As the draft moves into Round 4, the scarcity of reliable RBs becomes more pronounced, and you’ll pivot to wide receivers and top-tier tight ends. Be mindful of stacked backfields in potent offenses such as Oregon, Indiana, and Texas. It’s smart to secure both potential starters in those situations, then drop the one who yields less value once bye weeks begin. The same logic applies to receivers, where preseason rankings can diverge significantly from final statistical leaders. Aim to acquire either a true target-hog WR1 in a productive passing offense or a top-3 WR on the depth chart in a pass-heavy, air-raid system that puts up big numbers through the air and supports two solid WRs. In many cases, the preseason WR2 or WR3 in these dynamic offenses can become the primary option and often comes at a much lower cost.
College Fantasy Football 101: Everything you need to know to play. Also, pay attention to Yahoo’s Team Offense scoring, which rewards offenses that maximize scoring opportunities while playing disciplined football. Turnovers and losses are heavily weighted and can drastically affect how your Team Offense performs over the season. Teams like Indiana, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Texas Tech should be high priorities due to their talent depth and favorable schedules. With that in mind, here are my top-300 rankings for 1QB leagues, divided into 50-player segments. Best of luck with your draft!
51-100
101-150
151-200

Note: The rankings above are part of a broader top-300 list designed to help you shape a balanced, productive draft strategy for 1QB leagues. The goal is to identify early-round anchors at running back and wide receiver, while keeping plenty of depth through mid-round picks and late-round options for streaming quarterbacks and wideouts.
