The CareSource Invitational is back this October with a new twist. For the first time, the exhibition basketball games will be staged outdoors at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason. The event, now in its fourth year, continues to support mental health awareness and suicide prevention efforts, with proceeds benefiting nonprofit groups such as Jay’s Light. To date, the invitational has raised more than $500,000 for these important causes.
On Wednesday, October 7, a lineup featuring the University of Dayton Flyers, Xavier University Musketeers, Ohio State University Buckeyes, and University of Cincinnati Bearcats will compete on P&G Center Court. The day’s order of play will have the Buckeyes vs. Bearcats as the opening matchup, followed by the Flyers vs. Musketeers in the second game of the doubleheader.
In addition to the on-court action, Dayton Athletics will contact season ticket holders next week with information about ticket requests for the Invitational. Details for the general public ticket sales will be announced at a later date, so fans should stay tuned for forthcoming updates.
This charitable event continues to merge high-level college basketball with a commitment to mental health awareness, drawing support from the community and helping to fund organizations focused on mental health resources and suicide prevention. As the event date approaches, fans and supporters can expect more information on tickets, schedules, and how to participate in this meaningful, outdoor rendition of the CareSource Invitational.
