The arrival of top-tier talent has complemented a veteran unit that returns experience and production from the past year, and the depth chart looks even stronger as September approaches. Injuries in the prior season forced several players to elevate their play, and that adversity should pay dividends once the new campaign kicks off, giving Oregon a ready-made advantage in the passing game.
Dakorian Moore emerged as a breakout performer in 2025, appearing in 11 games and starting seven while posting 34 receptions for 497 yards and three touchdowns. He stepped in to fill the void created by the absence of Evan Stewart, who had a breakout 2024 season as a transfer but missed all of 2025. In the 2024 campaign, Stewart appeared in 13 games with 12 starts, recording 48 receptions for 613 yards and five touchdowns. Individually, Moore and Stewart impressed, but together they form a duo that could pose a nightmare for any defense because of their complementary skill sets and proven track records.
Alongside them will be Jeremiah McClellan, who emerged as a key contributor as a Redshirt Freshman in 2025. McClellan played in all 15 games, earning nine starts, and finished with 38 receptions for 557 yards and three touchdowns. That trio—Moore, Stewart, and McClellan—already boasted at least 30 receptions and roughly 500 yards in their most recent seasons, underscoring the high floor and ceiling for Oregon’s air attack.
The Ducks didn’t rest on their laurels while the Transfer Portal buzz swirled, either. Oregon added Iverson Hooks from UAB, adding yet another weapon to what was already a potent receiving corps. Hooks posted a strong 2025 season, compiling 72 receptions for 927 yards and seven trips to the end zone, underscoring his reliability and big-play capability as a hybrid receiver who can line up in multiple spots and create mismatches.
The 2026 recruiting class continued the trend of high-end additions, starting with 4-Star Messiah Hampton. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Rochester, New York, product earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors in New York and could see meaningful action as a true freshman, given his ready-made size, speed, and production history. The Ducks complemented Hampton with another 4-Star target, Jalen Lott from Frisco, Texas. Lott’s athleticism extends across multiple sports—he competes in track and field and has experience in both high school and Junior Olympic circuits—while his recent track record includes back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons, highlighting his potential to contribute early in his college career.
In this environment that features both proven playmakers and budding stars, Oregon’s returning quarterback, Dante Moore, will have a veritable cornucopia of options to choose from on every drop-back. The depth and talent at wide receiver are poised to be one of the season’s defining strengths for the Ducks, with multiple receivers who can command attention, stretch the field, and make clutch plays when it matters most.
