Harry Kane’s work rate stands out for England

Former Bayern Munich midfielder and German youth national team coach Christian Ziege can understand why England fans have sometimes been wary of the team’s World Cup performances. Yet he has been impressed by the squad’s resilience. “I know there’s been criticism in the UK about the way England play at times, but the most important thing is that they score goals and advance. They have fantastic, strong players, and as you can see, the whole World Cup is not easy for any team to reach the next stage,” Ziege told Casino Guru. “It doesn’t matter who you face. There are perhaps only four or five teams that aren’t truly strong enough to compete at the World Cup, but simply being there is a major achievement. I watched Norway yesterday and was genuinely surprised. I hadn’t seen them before, but the way they move the ball, keep possession, and deny the opposition the chance to play their game was impressive. Still, it will be a tough match. I’m backing England, for sure.”
One positive for Ziege has been the performance of Bayern Munich star Harry Kane, who has been exceptional for the Three Lions. “I have to say, I admire Harry and I’m a big, big fan of Harry Kane. Not only because of the way he plays and what he has delivered over the past few years for Bayern Munich,” Ziege said. “Of course, I watched him at Tottenham as well. But now I think he’s in the right club, with the right players around him, giving him the opportunity to score plenty of goals. It’s also his work rate in every game—defending, contributing to the team, being a true team player—it’s outstanding. He’s a genuine captain.”
