OMAHA, Neb. — Alabama baseball will face Texas on Monday in its second game of the College World Series at Charles Schwab Field. The Crimson Tide is competing in its first CWS in 27 years, and is off to an 0-1 start after enduring a 9-1 blowout loss in its opening game against Oklahoma on Saturday. The eight-team CWS field will vie for the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship throughout the week. Once the contenders are narrowed to two, the championship series will be June 20-22.. UA (42-19) dispatched St. Johns in hosting Super Regional action last weekend, winning 8-0 and 7-2 to sweep the Johnnies.
