Stade de Reims’ defensive midfielder Mory Gbane, 25, is drawing interest from across Europe, according to a report from Foot Mercato. Gbane arrived at Reims in January 2025 and quickly became a fixture in the latter half of the 2024/25 season, a campaign that culminated in Les Stadistes slipping down to Ligue 2. In France’s second tier, the Ivorian midfielder has continued to feature regularly, making 26 league appearances in the previous season. Despite his personal involvement, Reims failed to secure promotion back to the top flight.
The squad has already witnessed notable exits. Ewen Jaouen has departed to join Newcastle United, while Patrick Zabi has moved to Paris FC. Gbane could be next in line for a departure. Foot Mercato reports that Reims would not stand in the way if a substantial offer comes in.
Interest from abroad includes concrete movements from clubs such as West Ham United, Celtic, and Trabzonspor, all showing real pursuit of the Ivory Coast international who has earned two caps for his national team. The situation places Gbane at a pivotal juncture, with the potential to leave Reims should a favorable bid arrive.
