Minor league update for 7/9/26

   ​Hickory’s starter Jesus Lafalaise worked five innings, surrendering one run on a solo homer while striking out nine and issuing a single walk. Jormy Nivar was charged with four runs in 0.2 innings, walking two. Michael Trausch logged an inning with three strikeouts and two walks, allowing two runs. Louis Marinaro notched two strikeouts over 1.1 scoreless frames. Yolfran Castillo reached base twice on a pair of walks and also swiped a bag. Pablo Guerrero collected a hit and a walk. Paulino Santana added a hit and a walk. Dewar Tovar went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk. Angel Arredondo also had a hit.
In the Hickory box score, David Davalillo returned to full-season play but was tagged for five runs across 2.1 innings, walking three, fanning four, and surrendering a homer.
