Bristol City sign London City Lionesses forward Lindström

The Robins revealed the news of Lindström’s transfer in a post on their official club X (formerly Twitter) account earlier today. The 21-year-old Finnish international is reported to have signed a multi-year contract with Bristol City, tying her to Ashton Gate for the foreseeable future.
Lindström joined London City Lionesses during the January 2024 transfer window from Finnish club HJK. Since arriving at City, she has faced a series of challenges, though she started off promisingly by finishing the 2023/2024 season with three goals in six appearances. That strong early momentum led many to expect a standout 2024/2025 campaign, but an ACL injury sidelined her for several months, delaying her progress.
She returned to fitness last season and added eight appearances to her tally for The Pride. With a need for regular first-team football, Lindström went on loan to Birmingham City in the latter half of the season, where she found form again. She scored three goals in 10 appearances in the Barclays Women’s Super League 2 (WSL2) as Blues clinched the league title and earned promotion back to the Barclays Women’s Super League. Notably, she also bagged her first hat-trick in English football in February, helping Birmingham City to a 5-1 victory over Nottingham Forest.
Now, Lindström will bring her talents to Bristol City, a team driven by promotion ambitions in the Barclays WSL2 this season. The Robins’ acquisition signals their intent to strengthen the squad as they push for top-tier football, leveraging Lindström’s international experience and recent form in English football to bolster their attacking options. Her arrival adds depth and versatility to a Bristol City side aiming to challenge for promotion and make a significant impact in the competition this year.
