This weekend marks a pivotal juncture in the 2026 DCI season as corps race toward the next phase of the summer tour, heading into Texas. Under the Friday night lights at Western Corps Connection, West Coast open class corps have another opportunity to perform live on FloMarching before the heavier hitters close out the night. Bluecoats, Santa Clara Vanguard, and Blue Devils will take the field one more time, looking to show the fixes they implemented since their last meeting just last night in Santa Clarita.
On Saturday, Carolina Crown and Boston Crusaders will finally reveal their 2026 productions to the FloMarching audience and will be judged directly against each other at DCI Little Rock. The same venue that crowned the first DCI World Champion will also host the Whitewater Classic, a full lineup of Midwest corps eager to leave a strong imprint before they head south to face bigger stadiums and higher temperatures. Fans will have the chance to watch 18 different corps across The Whitewater Classic and DCI Little Rock.
Finally, Sunday closes the weekend with the West Coast open class corps returning to the screen for the So Cal Classic in Buena Park. This is the last opportunity to catch Blue Devils C, Golden Empire, and Impulse live on stream. The weekend’s events, streaming live on FloMarching July 10–12, also include on-demand replays with sound. And there’s big news off the field as well: Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets are set to return to competition in DCI 2027.
As this weekend draws to a close, corps will begin converging toward the middle of the country, where everything grows bigger in the Lone Star State. Here’s what to watch at each of the live-streamed events this weekend.
This is your second-to-last chance to catch Golden Empire, Impulse, and Blue Devils C in action. Pacific Crest will debut their 2026 show, Irresistible, on FloMarching, marking their second scored performance of the season. The Academy and Pacific Crest were separated by a mere 0.150 in Santa Clarita, California on Thursday; the last time The Academy posted a score as close to Pacific Crest was July 8, 2023, when they tied in Pasadena.
Zephyrus, a Tulsa, Oklahoma-based corps that earned the title “Most Improved Open Class Corps of 2025,” makes their FloMarching debut for 2026. Music City unveils Venomorphosis, while Spirit of Atlanta brings their 2026 debut, Golden Summer. Carolina Crown and Boston Crusaders finally perform for the season’s first time on FloMarching, in the same venue, with an encore by Carolina Crown to follow.
Spartans launch their 2026 season, and Crossmen will receive their first score of the year after performing at Celebration In Brass, an event that was canceled and thus did not yield a score. Expect a tight race among Blue Knights, Troopers, and Madison Scouts, who remain in the finals conversation after the corps finished just 1.200 behind the leaders in a recent competition. The Madison Scouts are once again in the mix for finals contention.
