We used to live in a country that felt proper, a place where college football and Notre Dame football inspired some of the internet’s best Photoshop masterpieces. We also had the finest graphic designers and true “art” on display. Then AI arrived. Now anyone with internet access can conjure something out of nothing, and far too often that something turns out so bad it seems to deserve to disappear back into the void it came from. I’m not innocent—I’ve leaned on AI in a pinch to generate an image or two, but each time I did, I regretted it and felt a piece of my soul burn in a fury of remorse.
We miss the sheer volume of greatness we once enjoyed, and I remember it vividly. Two of my all-time favorite Notre Dame football creators happen to have OFD ties with NDMSPAINT, as well as with Rakes Report, and Brendan McAlinden (verypiratey) also figures into the circle. AI, in my view, falls short. That’s my take, but here are a couple of image galleries that hint at the past greatness we long for. notre dame ian book notre dame football notre dame football dabo swinney clemson
