STARKVILLE — The 2026 MLB Draft has arrived, and Mississippi State baseball is expected to be well represented as several Bulldogs are projected to hear their names called. Ace Reese, MSU’s standout third baseman for the past two seasons, is widely projected as a first-round selection. In addition, many of the players who inked with Mississippi State in the 2026 recruiting class are also draft-worthy prospects. How the draft unfolds will influence whether these prospects return to campus for next season, much like Jack Bauer and Jacob Parker did in previous years.
The draft gets underway on July 11 at noon Central Time, with Rounds 1 through 4 airing on NBC/Peacock. Rounds 5 through 20 are scheduled for July 12, beginning at 10:30 a.m. CT and will be streamed on MLB.com. The Clarion Ledger will be tracking every Mississippi State draft pick, including signees and transfers, as the selections are announced.
For context, the draft schedule is as follows: on July 11, Picks 1 through 10 will be shown on NBC/Peacock, Picks 11 through 40 will be available via MLB Network, MLB.com, MLB.tv, and MLB+ (with Picks 41 through 135 covered by MLB.com, MLB.tv, and MLB+). On July 12, Rounds 5 through 20 will be aired on MLB.com, MLB.tv, and MLB+. The event will take place in Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
