The next generation of baseball talent is ready to hear their names called and begin their journeys to the big leagues. The 2026 MLB Draft is set for Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, in Philadelphia. The first four rounds will be held on Day 1, with rounds 5 through 20 following on Day 2. The Chicago White Sox hold the first overall selection.
For the Milwaukee Brewers, the draft represents a critical chance to continue expanding and strengthening their top-ranked farm system. With only two selections among the first 100 picks and four total on the opening day, every choice on the 2026 draft board carries extra significance. Their opening pick is at No. 25.
Last year’s first-round pick, Andrew Fischer, looks poised for a big rise as the 22-year-old has already reached Class AA after tearing through the lower levels with his power hitting. If he maintains this trajectory, Fischer could advance up the ladder toward the majors, much like Brewers first-rounders Brice Turang (2018), Garrett Mitchell (2020), and Sal Frelick (2021) have done. All three became everyday players for the Brewers and contributed to playoff-contending teams.
Yet the Brewers recognize that All-Star quality players and high-caliber prospects can emerge beyond the first round. Two-time All-Star pitcher and reigning Cy Young Award candidate Jacob Misiorowski was selected in the second round just three years ago, and recently promoted shortstop Cooper Pratt was a sixth-round pick two years ago. Their recent history underscores that impactful talent isn’t confined to the top pick.
Here is what you need to know about the draft, including start times, how to watch, the Brewers’ selections, and recent history: Cameron Flukey, a graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School, is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft. The draft begins on Saturday, July 11, at 12:30 p.m. CT with the first four rounds. It resumes on Sunday, July 12 at 10:30 a.m. with rounds five through 20.
NBC will televise the first 10 picks on Saturday, July 11, with streaming on Peacock. Picks 11 through 40 will be aired on MLB Network and streamed on MLB.com, MLB.TV, and MLB+. Rounds 41 through 135 will be streamed on MLB.com, MLB.TV, and MLB+. The second day of the draft, Sunday, July 12, will be streamed on MLB.com, MLB.TV, and MLB+.
The Brewers have four selections on Day 1 and one pick in each round on Day 2 (the 28th pick of each round). Their first-day selections are No. 25 (first round), No. 66 (second round), No. 102 (third round), and No. 130 (fourth round). They also held a competitive-balance pick in the second round at No. 67, but that selection was traded to Boston on February 9, along with Caleb Durbin, Andruw Monasterio, and Anthony Seigler, in exchange for left-handers Kyle Harrison and Shane Drohan.
