Eagles News: Multiple outlets rank Philadelphia’s offensive line second-best in the NFL

Let’s dive into the latest Philadelphia Eagles news and links. Up Front – Iggles Blitz highlights three independent sources that rate the Eagles as the No. 2 offensive line in the league heading into 2026. The Eagles boast the best left and right tackle duo in football, with Tyler Steen a player on the rise. Dickerson and Jurgens are Pro Bowl-caliber when healthy, forming a genuinely talented group. The depth behind them is solid too, with Fred Johnson and rookie Markell Bell at the tackles. Interior depth remains less certain, but Drew Kendall showed promise in limited action last year. Veteran Michael Jordan brings more experience than elite talent and will need to earn a roster spot with a strong summer. Rookie Micah Morris carries NFL size, athleticism, and potential; the key will be translating all that into consistent performance. I’ll also be watching Willie Lampkin and Myles Hinton this summer to see how they develop. If the line stays healthy, the running game should click, and the offense overall should be solid. The Packers ranked seventh in rushing attempts last year, so Sean Mannion comes from a team with a run-first mindset. With this offensive line and Saquon Barkley, the Eagles are positioned to remain a run-heavy attack, which was effective in 2024, so I wouldn’t object to more of the same.
ESPN is already ranking the Eagles highly on defense, with two of the top 10 defensive tackles for 2026. As ESPN rolls out Top 10 lists for various positions, the Eagles are piling up recognition as one of the league’s best rosters. They’ve already added one of the top running backs (Saquon Barkley) and two of the top cornerbacks (Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, plus votes for Riq Woolen). They’ve also earned consideration for two standout interior defenders (Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis). Edge rushers didn’t crack the Top 10, and at tight end, Dallas Goedert received some Top 10 votes but didn’t secure a place in the final rankings. Here’s a snapshot of what ESPN had to say about the Eagles’ interior defenders and why they’re so highly regarded.
Over at PhillyVoice, there are things to watch during Eagles training camp on the linebacker front. When camp opened in 2025, starting linebacker Dean was on the PUP list, and it wasn’t expected that Campbell would be ready to participate until August. This left Jeremiah Trotter in line for first-team reps early in camp. But Campbell’s surprise Day 1 availability altered that plan, giving Trotter more time on the back burner. In his two training camps with the Eagles, Trotter has built a reputation as a tough, smart, instinctive linebacker, even if he doesn’t feature ideal size or athleticism. He began the regular season as the first off-ball linebacker off the bench, yet demand never made him a necessity. After Dean returned from injury, Trotter slid down the depth chart behind Baun, Dean, and Campbell. Still, Trotter’s contributions have been steady, particularly on special teams, where he excelled in 2025. With Dean moving on to sign with the Raiders, Trotter’s role in the defense and on special teams remains a noteworthy storyline to monitor as training camp unfolds.
