Saturday Night Open Thread: I think it’s gonna rain…

Live from Delaware, it’s Saturday Night! I’m NAS204PSU here at BTSC to host this Saturday Night Open Thread, aka SNOT. It’s been a stormy week around the Philadelphia metro area, with several thunderstorms rolling through. My lawn has stayed fairly green, which is a small mercy since the neighbors are constantly watering to keep their lawns photo-shoot ready for “Better Homes and Gardens than Yours” magazine. Tonight, I’ve decided to tilt many of the questions toward weather themes. This five-pack of prompts is designed to fuel conversation and give us a chance to share what we’re eating or drinking as well.
1) There are plenty of Top-10 ranking pieces floating around like clouds. This or that player ends up too high, too low, or not on the list at all. Which top-10 list will the Steelers be left off of after the 2026 season? (Keep it funny.)
2) Sparks1951 is issuing a 2027 free-agent alert for Baker Mayfield. What percentage chance do you give the Steelers of bringing in another aging veteran quarterback as QB1 next year, assuming Rodgers steps away as planned?
3) We just endured what I’m calling “movie-style rain” this week—a torrential downpour with multiple lightning strikes that looked like someone dumped buckets of water everywhere. I was outside on the job when the lightning detected forced us to abort, and I ended up drenched for basically nothing. Flash floods caused road closures and downed trees, making the ride home a memorable ordeal as well. What’s the worst storm you’ve traveled through or worked through?
4) Today is 7/11 day, and those stores are open 24/7 even in bad weather. What’s your go-to convenience-store snack?
5) What’s your favorite weather-related song? (Mine is the track below for better SEO.) Song of the Night: Rain When I Die by Alice in Chains.
