Wimbledon is set to bid farewell to one of its most recognizable voices as commentator Andrew Castle departs the BBC. Castle, who once held British No 1 status and peaked at No 80 in the world rankings, helped shape the soundscape of Wimbledon for decades, delivering the narration for many defining moments, including Andy Murray’s triumph in 2013. The BBC confirmed that this year will be Castle’s final Wimbledon after more than twenty years with the broadcaster, while also revealing a slate of fresh pundits joining the coverage for the Championships.
Jamie Murray, a two-time Wimbledon mixed doubles champion, is named as the BBC’s dedicated analysis expert, bringing his extensive doubles experience to enhance the BBC’s expert commentary. Laura Robson, a former British No 1, is also on the roster, alongside a familiar ensemble that includes Tim Henman, Annabel Croft, John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Pat Cash, and Tracy Austin. In a bid to broaden the expert panel, the BBC announced the addition of eight-time Grand Slam champion Andre Agassi and former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard.

The lineup of pundits features an array of notable names such as John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, Pat Cash, Tracy Austin, Tim Henman, Kyle Edmund, Annabel Croft, Eugenie Bouchard, Laura Robson, Andre Agassi, Jamie Murray, and a host of others who will contribute to expert analysis and insights throughout the tournament.
In addition to the main cast of pundits, the BBC will also rely on a team of recognized commentators, including Andrew Castle, Chris Bradnam, James Burridge, Naomi Cavaday, Matt Chilton, Andrew Cotter, Katherine Downes, Paul Hand, Abigail Johnson, Robbie Koenig, Nick Lester, Ronald McIntosh, Nick Mullins, Pete Odgers, Simon Reed, Andy Stevenson, Jayant Mistry, Louise Hunt, and Jamie Murray, among others.
