NFL sets 2027 offseason dates (Broncos will be busy in March)

By admin — In News — July 12, 2026

Mark your calendars, Denver Broncos fans. Early March is shaping up to be busier than usual in the NFL as the league released key dates for the 2026 season and the 2027 offseason last week. The NFL combine is slated to run directly into free agency, a timing pattern that hasn’t been typical in recent offseasons. The combine will take place in Indianapolis from March 1 through March 8, with the free agency negotiating window opening the day after the event, on Tuesday, March 9. At that point, teams will be permitted to begin negotiating with pending free agents from other clubs. Free agency will officially commence—and contracts can be signed—when the new league year begins on Thursday, March 11.
There are several other notable dates that NFL fans should keep on their radar. The 53-man roster deadline falls on August 30, and the in-season trade deadline is set for November 10. Looking ahead, Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for February 14 in Los Angeles. For the 2027 cycle, the NFL combine runs March 1–8 in Indianapolis, and the free agency window opens on March 9. The 2027 NFL draft is planned for April 29 through May 1 in Washington, D.C.
As for the Broncos, their next major milestone is the start of training camp on July 31, followed by three preseason games in August. The team will then launch the regular season on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, scheduled for September 14.
