The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday, July 12 for the Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway, which used to be known as Atlanta Motor Speedway. It was a challenging qualifying session for the Toyotas, as none of their cars will start inside the top 10, while Team Penske Ford claimed the first two positions on the grid. Ryan Blaney and the No. 12 car will take the pole, with teammate Joey Logano and the No. 22 joining him at the front.
Three Chevrolets—Kyle Larson in the No. 5 from Hendrick Motorsports, Austin Dillon in the No. 3 for Richard Childress Racing, and Daniel Suarez in the No. 7 for Spire Motorsports—round out the top five qualifiers. Sunday’s race is scheduled to start around 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time and will be broadcast on TNT and truTV. The Quaker State 400 will span 260 laps on the 1.54-mile EchoPark Speedway layout, totaling 400.4 miles. The stage format will be Stage 1 with 60 laps, Stage 2 with 100 laps, and Stage 3 consisting of the final 100 laps.
