Done Deal: Roma target Greenwood ready for Fenerbahce

Having long been a target for Roma, it is reported that Mason Greenwood is set to travel to Istanbul for a Fenerbahce medical, with precise figures surrounding the fee to Olympique Marseille, Manchester United, and Getafe. The Giallorossi had openly identified Greenwood as their top choice for the wide-left attacking role and had been assembling a package close to the €50 million asking price.
In contrast to Roma’s approach, Fenerbahce initiated talks with the player early and secured personal terms on a considerably enhanced salary, reportedly up to €9 million per season. At this stage, multiple sources in Turkey insist the deal is complete, despite late interest from Atletico Madrid and Roma.
Because of the agreement struck with Manchester United, the Premier League club is said to receive 40 percent of the profit. However, Sport Mediaset contends that United would instead take 30 percent, with an additional 10 percent allocated to Getafe, a former club of Greenwood. Italian outlets place the total transfer fee at €45 million plus potential bonuses, whereas Fanatik in Turkey quotes €39.5 million with add-ons, including a substantial extra payment if Fenerbahce win the Turkish Super Lig.
Turkish transfer commentator Yagiz Sabuncuoglu also claims that Fenerbahce have finalized every detail with Marseille and the player himself. The prevailing narrative across Turkish and international outlets is that the agreement now hinges on the medical and administrative formalities, with Greenwood poised to join Fenerbahce after a deal that reorganizes the player’s club affiliations and the distribution of transfer-related revenues between United, Getafe, and the involved parties.
