According to transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri, former Bayern Munich goalkeeper Yann Sommer could be headed for Club Brugge. An exclusive report claims that Club Brugge has reached an in-principle agreement with the Swiss goalkeeper, and the move could be completed within the next 48 to 72 hours. Sommer has reportedly given his approval for the transfer, with the Blauww-Zwart side aiming to finalize the deal soon.
Germany-based journalist Florian Plettenberg has corroborated Tavolieri’s information, stating that Sommer is closing in on a move to Club Brugge on a free transfer. A verbal agreement with the 37-year-old goalkeeper is said to be in place, and only the remaining formalities are left to resolve. Sommer has already signaled his readiness to move, aligning with Tavolieri’s reporting.
Sommer joined Inter Milan after his stint with Bayern Munich, and he is currently a free agent after his contract expired at the end of last season. In the most recent season with Inter Milan, he conceded 42 goals across all competitions while delivering 19 clean sheets.
