A former area high school baseball standout has been chosen in the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft. The Cleveland Guardians selected Parker Dillhoff, a former Lebanon High School star, in the 18th round of the 2026 MLB Draft. Dillhoff later spent his senior year of college baseball at UNLV, according to his college bio page.
UNLV Baseball publicly congratulated him on social media, exclaiming, “Back in his home! With the 543rd pick in the 2026 #MLBDraft, the Cleveland Guardians select Parker Dillhoff!!” Lebanon Athletics also offered their congratulations on Dillhoff’s achievement, posting, “Congrats, PD! Once A Warrior…#AlwaysAWarrior.” The recognition from both his high school and college communities highlighted the journey Dillhoff has taken from local success to the professional stage.
During his time at Lebanon High School, Dillhoff was a two-year letterwinner and played a pivotal role in guiding the Tigers to their first district title as a senior in 2022, according to his college bio page. In the district championship game, he delivered a remarkable performance, throwing a one-hit shutout and recording 14 strikeouts.
In his final collegiate season with UNLV, Dillhoff appeared in 15 games as a starter, finishing with a 4-5 record. He posted a 7.53 ERA across those starts and led the Rebels with 94 strikeouts, underscoring his continued capability to overpower hitters at the college level.
Dillhoff’s path from Lebanon High School to the UNLV program and now to the MLB Draft reflects a steady progression through the ranks of amateur baseball to the professional arena. His achievement stands as a notable milestone for the local baseball community and serves as inspiration for aspiring players from Lebanon and surrounding areas as they pursue opportunities at higher levels of competition.
