Louisville, Ky. (AP) — Steven Fisk outlasted Taylor Pendrith in a gripping finish at the ISCO Championship on Sunday, two-putting for par on the third hole of a playoff to claim his second PGA Tour title. Fisk, who closed with a 3-under 67 in cloudy and breezy conditions at Hurstbourne Country Club, matched Pendrith at 16-under 264. The event, played opposite the Scottish Open, was sanctioned by both the PGA Tour and the European Tour. At 29 years old, Fisk earns a spot in the PGA Championship next year, though he did not gain entry to the Masters. His previous PGA Tour victory came last October at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Mississippi.
Pendrith finished with a 65, the 35-year-old Canadian seeking his second Tour win. On the final trip down the par-4 18th, Fisk rolled in a 3-foot par putt after a fairway split and a 28-foot approach. Pendrith, meanwhile, found a fairway bunker, left his approach short, and missed a 10-foot par attempt. In the first extra hole, Pendrith sent a 9-foot birdie try four inches past the hole. The players traded pars on the second extra hole, with Fisk escaping from a bunker and blasting out to 3 feet.
Canadian Ben Silverman and Aaron Wise were one stroke off the playoff pace. Silverman closed with a 66, and Wise finished at 69. Lucas Glover led the field after each of the first three rounds and then carded a 71 to tie for fifth at 14-under alongside Davis Chatfield (66) and Kristoffer Ventura (66). Former Auburn star Jackson Koivun finished with a 67 to tie for 10th at 12-under; he had missed the cut last week in his professional debut.
