Chase Elliott is adding another race to his 2026 schedule, as the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion has been announced as the driver of the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at North Wilkesboro. The entry will carry HendrickCars.com sponsorship as Elliott returns to Truck Series competition for the first time since his substitute appearance at Daytona in February 2023. Over the course of his Truck Series career, Elliott has made 18 starts across seven seasons and built an impressive resume. He has tallied 3 wins, 11 top-five finishes, and 12 top-ten finishes, along with leading 210 laps and earning 2 pole positions.
Elliott will be piloting a team that is not unfamiliar with Victory Lane in the Truck Series, while also competing in the CARS Tour for JR Motorsports on Friday nights in place of Kyle Busch. Spire Motorsports has logged 213 starts, 7 pole positions, and 12 victories since the inception of their team in 2022, showcasing a history of strong performance and competitive machinery. This season, Spire Motorsports has hosted a lineup of notable drivers in the Craftsman Truck Series, including Kyle Busch, Carson Hocevar, Connor Zilisch, Michael McDowell, Jesse Love, Sammy Smith, Parker Kligerman, Justin Marks, James Hinchcliffe, Connor Mosack, and now Chase Elliott.
Chase Elliott is set to take control of the No. 7 truck on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at North Wilkesboro with the goal of adding another triumph to his Truck Series resume. He will drive for a team that has positioned him in a strong competitive spot, capable of contending for a win. As always, fans can look forward to the action and the narrative of a driver with a storied past in the sport returning to the Trucks stage.
