​Paolo Maldini has accepted the Italian Football Federation’s proposal to assume the role of technical director for the Azzurri, with his former Milan teammate Leonardo poised to join him in an advisory capacity. The two figures will be responsible for guiding the long-term development of Italian football and playing a central part in shaping the future of the national team. Their initial primary duty will be to select the next head coach of Italy.
